With the warm weather the fruit trees are starting to bloom. Remember when 50% of the petals have fallen off the blooms it is time to spray the fruit trees with insect spray. Keep spraying every few weeks until the time of harvest. Russell Feed has both organic and chemical sprays for your fruit and pecan trees. We also have zinc available for pecan trees.
After the danger of frost has passed, which is around March 21st, you gardeners can go crazy planting out in the garden. Plant your tomatoes, squash, peppers and more. Russell Feed will have your plants and seeds ready for you.
Mid-March is the time to start your lawn fertilizing program. Russell Feed has a wide range of fertilizers available for you to apply to your lawns. It’s time for molasses to help stimulate the microbial activity in the soil.
20% vinegar can be used as a spot treatment against those unwanted weeds and grasses that pop up in your lawn. For large areas of broadleaf weeds use a 2-4-D product.
I hope all of our customers have a Great Spring!
