The time line to apply fall pre-emergent is now through mid to late October.  With the rain and cooler temperatures, winter weeds and grass germination is not far off.  Three criteria must be met for seeds to germinate: correct moisture, correct temperature and a good location (soil). When these conditions are met the seed will sprout.  The sooner pre-emergent is applied, the better result you will see.  Remember to never apply pre-emergent where wild flower seed will be spread.

It is time to fertilize one last time this year.  Use our 15-5-10 chemical fertilizer or nature’s Guide 3-0-5 Fall Fertilizer.
