Purina Mills has launched a national campaign to promote Breast Cancer Awareness called Pink 50. They are taking their top six best selling feeds, (Equine Senior, Strategy, Omolene 200, Rabbit Chow, Layena and Goat Chow) and putting them in pink feed sacks. Purina will donate part of the proceeds for every bag sold in the month of October to Breast Cancer Research.
Breast Cancer affects all of us and we at Russell Feed and Supply are doing our part in the fight against it. Russell Feed & Supply will donate 50 cents for every Pink 50 bag sold in the month of October to Susan G. Komen of Greater Fort Worth. We have also put together a Susan G. Komen t-shirt that we will sell in our stores for $15 and all of the proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen of Greater Fort Worth.
We have also teamed up with the Championship Rodeo in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards for “Pink Out at the Rodeo”. We will give away tickets to the rodeo for October 1, 8, 15 and 29 when you purchase a bag of Pink 50 or you make a donation to Susan G. Komen at one of our stores. BONUS, on Friday, October 22, the Red Stegall Cowboy Gathering will be at the rodeo and for a donation to Susan G. Komen at one of our six locations, we will give you a “buy one get one free” coupon (a $25 value) that is redeemable at the ticket office of the coliseum for that all day event.
Russell Feed & Supply will be at the Rodeo for every Friday night performance in October collecting donations and selling our collectible pink t-shirts and yes, all of the proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen of Greater Fort Worth. So wear your pink t-shirt and let’s turn the rodeo PINK.
