Here we are finishing up another year, but before we can ring in the new year there are plenty of things to do. Thousands of leaves are falling daily.
- Rake the leaves up into a compost bend and get them ready for spring.
- Spread molasses over the lawn to help build up the microbial activity and add organic material to the soil.
- Plant fescue grass seed and winter ryegrass seeds for a green winter lawn.
After the yard work is done check out the December 2011 archives on how to take care of Holiday plants.
Coming up in the first of January: onion plants, fresh bulk seeds and seed potatoes. Stay tuned!
Have a Great Christmas and New Year
MIKE
