As I have said before, fall is my favorite season and November is my favorite month. I love me some Thanksgiving dinner, and opening day of deer season, which is November 1st. Winner, Winner, Turkey Dinner!
We had a Budweiser Clydesdale visit our Saginaw/Haslet store last month. Lester, the Clydesdale and the Big Rig drew a large crowd. The Budweiser Clydesdales use Purina Mills horse feeds, Omolene 500 horse feed to be exact. A big thanks to Purina Mills for sponsoring this event, everyone had a great time.
Save the Date for our annual Cattle Meeting: November 20th at Russell Hall, 5708 Jacksboro Hwy, Ft. Worth. We are still working out some of the details, but as usual we’ll have brisket and some great speakers. Watch our Website and Facebook page for more information.
Our Azle store relocation is under way. The new store will be approximately a mile and a half west of the new store on 199. We’re currently working on the foundation, and hopefully we will get moved by spring.
3 string product shipments from the west coast have slowed down, and prices are trending upward.
2 string Bermuda is a issue. We had a good start until the drought and the army worms in August/September decided to destroy the last cutting. We may be short, but hopefully we can find additional product elsewhere.
2 string Alfalfa I expect to be out very soon.
See you around the barn,
